Detail of flute keywork made by Peter Worrell

Our centre has evolved from the fortuitous amalgamation of the woodwind making workshops of Ward & Winterbourn oboes, Dolmetsch Recorders and Daniel H Bangham: Classical Clarinets.

A variety of woodwind instruments will be made on site for observation and participation.

The centre is ever growing its unique resource of equipment and materials, including written literature and archive resources. Historic equipment is will be on view, including a "setting out" machine that has been in continuous use since, we believe, the 1880s.

Linton is a village 6 miles from Cambridge City centre and has a good bus service from the Rail station and the city centre.

Where possible we will help you arrange accommodation within the village of Linton and the workshop will be within walking distance.
